Autumn 1 - Week 4

Year 2 have had a very busy week this week!

In English, we have continued our work on 'Wild' with the children writing their own story retell this week, which included lots of adjectives, conjunctions and time adverbials. In Art, we were looking at buildings, recognising the shapes and patterns that different buildings have. We were able to go outside and find different shapes and patterns that our school buildings has, and create crayon rubbings of them. The children then designed their tile, which will be part of a class mural, which had to represent a building. We had everything from a library to a zoo, a music studio to a McDonald's! In Maths, we have started our Addition and Subtraction unit, where the class have started to use fact families to help them check sums, and number bonds to 10 which have helped them to add and subtract tens up to 100.
