Autumn 2 - Week 1

Date: 31st Oct 2019 @ 8:18am

The children have had a very busy first week back! On Monday, a little penguin knocked on our door and delivered our brand new class story 'Lost and Found'. On Wednesday, we recieved a letter from Tim, a character in the story, asking for advice on how to take care of a penguin. The children decided to carry out some research and then sent him a letter full of information.

In Maths, the children have been exploring part-whole relationships using part-whole models and counters. The children worked in their Kagan pairs to firgure out which numbers were missing from the part-whole models they were presented with.

In Geography the children have enjoyed exploring the question 'Why do we like to be beside the seaside?' They have been learning about the features of different localities including the seaside, the countryside and towns. They have also found out about how to protect the seaside and the wildlife that lives there and why this is important.

On Thursday, the children enjoyed celebrating Halloween at the Halloween disco. Have a look at some of their fabulous costumes!
