Battleships

Date: 3rd Dec 2017 @ 10:49pm

This week in maths we learnt about coordinates. They are written in brackets and separated by a commas like this: (1,6). They are an 'ordered pair' which means the order they are written in is important! We used 'along the corridor and up the stairs' to help us remember this. To practice reading and plotting coordinates we played battleships against our partners! First we had to plot our ships on our own game board, we then had to call out coordinates to try and sink our partners ships. It was tricky but we all worked really hard and even when we hadn't sunk any of our partners ships we showed super resilience!
