Bear sandwiches, Comic Relief and Science Week!

Date: 18th Mar 2019 @ 6:40pm

What a busy week we have had in Nursery!

We started the week looking at the story Goldilocks and the Three Bears. I was very impressed with the children taking on the role of baby bear and telling Goldilocks exactly how they felt about her actions but not only that how she could make things right! Great opportuntities to show their understanding and how to manage feelings for PSED. The children also enjoyed making their own teddy bear sandwiches following the instructions sent to us. We celebrated Red Nose day and raised lots of money! We enjoyed coming to school in our Pyjamas and taking part in the activities in our classroom. We had a Red Nose hunt. This involved us looking all over our classroom to find the cheeky Red noses that were hiding. We practiced our fine motor control in a rescue the Red nose from all the poms poms activity.  We showed how good we are at playing a game together and taking turns in our Red Nose pairs game. Then we showed just how creative we could be by creating our own Red noses with the playdough!  As part of science week we investigated what happens when we added water and milk to skittles. We found out that the colouring on the skittles mixed with the water and created a rainbow and when we added the milk the rainbow showed at the bottom of the dish but not on top like the water ones did. Overall we have had a great week in our class. See some of our photos below.
