eTwinning - Playground games around Europe

Date: 11th May 2017 @ 4:22pm

We have begun a new eTwinning project this half term: Playground games across Europe. Children from Years 2-5 have taken part so far. eTwinning aims to foster collaboration between teachers across Europe and beyond, carry out joint projects and share good practice. We are very proud of the links that we have with other communities and countries at Abbott, as recognised by our International School Award.

The schools taking part in this new project will introduce their cities, countries and themselves to learn about each other; investigate the outdoor games that people most enjoy playing and discover which games from the past continue to be played by children today; give instructions on how to play games from their country and learn a new game.

This week we made a video to introduce our school and children in Class 2 presented some research on which games from the past are still popular today.
