John Rylands Library

Date: 15th Mar 2018 @ 3:47pm

Today we went on a trip to the John Rylands Library in Manchester to learn about how Manchester had changed since the Victorian Era.

First we had a tour of the building and learnt about why the library was built and we got to explore the Historic Reading Room where there were lots of big, old books!

We then got an oppourtunity to look at various maps of Manchester during the Victorian Era. It was amazing to see what was still here today and how much Manchester had changed! We worked in groups and we were each given a different map of Manchester showing different things. We then had to tell the rest of our class about our map and the amazing things we had found out.

Take a look at us, we had so much fun!
