This week in Maths we have been investigating measures (grams and kilograms). We have been estimating whether we think items are heavier or lighter than 100g and then using the weighing scales to check the accurate weight. Also, we have been comparing, adding and subtracting different weights. One group of children were given a bag of potatoes and had to investigate the question 'Where's the maths in that?'. They came up with some fantstic ways of using maths just by having a bag of potatoes! They then had to use their reasoning skills to explain why they could use that aspect of maths.
