We met a guinea pig!

Date: 28th Sep 2018 @ 3:36pm

This week Reception read a story called "Hello Oscar!" In this story, a character called Zoe finds a variety of pets in her back garden, including two guinea pigs. Reception weren't sure what guinea pigs were so we used the internet to find out information about guinea pigs, including what they look like and what they like to eat. Then Reception were in for a big surprise...we got to meet a real guinea pig! Her name is Mabel and she lives in Year One. We looked at Mabel and treated her very carefully, she even let us stroke her! We know that she uses her claws for digging and can eat carrots. We are going to carry on using the internet and books to find out information about things we find in our stories, we can't wait to see what we find out next! Please ask us what we can remember about guinea pigs :)!
