World Book Day and trips around the world

Date: 3rd Mar 2017 @ 3:44pm

To celebrate World Book Day, we read 'The Hueys in... the New Jumper' by Oliver Jeffers. He both writes and illustrates his books. As part of our learning, the children designed their own Hueys who each had something special, sewed some jumper designs and had a go at being illustrators and copied book covers in different styles. Having learnt weaving last half term in design technology, some of the children were fantastic.

The class shared what they already knew about habitats in our science lesson to begin our new unit and we also thought about places we might see on a trip around the world. If the children would like to bring in any photographs or souvenirs from their travels, we will add them to our display for this half term.
