Mighty Zulu Nation!

Class: Class 4 Year: 2018 - 2019

On Monday 29th October, Abbott were lucky enough to be visited by the Mighty Zulu Nation. They are a theatre company who showcase traditional Zulu culture through song and dance.

In the morning we had an assembly with the whole school where we listened to some songs and watched them dance. It was amazing and the drum was so loud! Some of us even got to go up and show our moves to the whole school.

In the afternoon Year 4 and Year 5 took part in a dancing workshop. We learnt a Zulu dance sequence accompanied by the Zulu drum!

At the end of the day we had an assembly where we showed the rest of the school the dance we had learnt. Year 2 and 3 performed a cultural song for us and Year 6 performed a traditional Gum boot dance routine!

It was such an amazing day! Take a look at some of the pictures and videos!
