World Maths Day

Lesson: Maths

Class: Class 5 Year: 2019 - 2020

To celebrate World Maths Day, the whole school participated in Active Maths. We chose the theme this year to promote links between Physical Education and Maths. In Year 5, we completed a maths trail of the local area: the children were amazed at just how much maths was around us. Back in class, we completed different circuit-style activities such as; how many star jumps can you do in a minute, how long does it take you to complete 20 press ups.

The children have thoroughly enjoyed the day and celebrated World Maths Day in style. Some children were also selected to win an award for the 6 School Sports Values, as they showed great enthusiasm on the day.

Congratulations to:

Lucas for winning an award for believing in himself

Bilal for winning an award for his passion for maths and PE

Lavinia and Ana for winning an award for their fantastic team work

Kaden for winning an award for always being respectful to everyone

Nicole for winning an award for her determination

Sophia for winning an award for her honesty
