Autumn 1: Week 6

In phonics, the children have been practising their letter formation or reading words (with special friends) by playing a game.

In English, we have continued to read Bog Baby, which the children are enjoying. They have learnt about prepositions to describe where Bog Baby is and adjectives to describe what Bog Baby looks like; they used both of these to write beautiful character descriptions. 

In maths, we have been comparing numbers by using cubes to identify and recognise which number is bigger or smaller. Additionally, we have started to explore the part-part-whole concept, using practical resources to help solidify understanding. 

The children have been learning the basic rules of rugby in their PE sessions with Salford Red Devils.
