Diwali

For Diwali this year, Class 5 explored mehndi patterns. We discussed what Diwali is, how Hindu's celebrate it and a couple of the pupils told us about what they do with their families to celebrate Diwali. The class researched mehndi patterns and then had a go at designing their own. Some copied patterns they liked, while some took inspiration and created their own pattern.
