Leaf spotting
Date: 7th Mar 2025 @ 6:36pm
This week in science, we learnt about evergreen and deciduous trees. We now know that evergreen trees keep their leaves all year round, whereas deciduous trees lose their leaves each year. Also, the leaves on deciduous trees turn brown in the autumn and usually have no leaves in the winter.
We then went on a leaf hunt around school. Back in the classroom, the children used a leaf ID spotter to identify leaves they had found. Most leaves were sycamores and bird cherry leaves.
