This year's theme was counting. We read the poem, The Terrible Ten.
1 do a stroll like a tiger
2 do a grr like a bear
3 do a scuttle like a spider
4 do a leap like a hare
5 do a stretch like a lion
6 do a flap like a bat
7 do a swoop like a barn owl
8 do a nibble like a rat
9 do a sway like an eagle
10 do a cluck like a hen
Then it might be nice
Just once or twice
To do the ten
AGAIN!
The children learnt the poem off by heart and acted out the different animals, before writing their own version.
