Numbers to Five

This half term in our math lessons, we have been focusing on numbers up to five. To support this, the children have engaged in a variety of hands-on activities designed to help them visualise numbers in different ways. These activities include using manipulatives, drawing, and interactive games - all aimed at reinforcing their understanding of quantity and relationships between numbers. Last week, the children enjoyed using of five-frames to see and organise numbers visually. By filling in the frames, students explored counting, subitising (the ability to recognise a small quantity without counting), and comparing different quantities.
